Slovenian startup school Hekovnik is not about being nice but about criticism

Slovenian startup school and accelerator Hekovnik (based in Ljubljana) is not about being nice. Instead, founders teams are encouraged to critique each other’s ideas.

The approach yielded a few winners in recent years, say the founders of the accelerator to Central European startup blog Goal Europe.

One of their alumni is TMG, which offers diagnostic tools for muscle injuries, and which boasts a few big European sports teams among its customers. TMG is funded by the Eurostars programme,  a European public funding programme that was specifically created to support small and medium size companies in the high-tech sector

Another one of the alumni is Imotion, a startup which develops all weather, outdoor LCD screens, and which secured a partnership with Korean giant Samsung.
