Seedmatch aims for new crowdfunding record (€ 400k in equity based funding) this week

18 Feb, 2013

The guys at Seedmatch do like to pursue ambitious goals. We wrote earlier about how they raised the ceiling of equity based financing in Germany – and successfully raised € 200 000 in record time (48 minutes!) a short while after.

This week, they’re trying to smash a new record, they announced on their website. They will try to raise € 400 000 euro in equity based funding for Honestly, a customer feedback app.

Honestly already raised € 100 000 in seed funding from Seedmatch in August 2012. It says it made its milestones and is now looking for follow up funding.

This fits the pattern that Seedmatch’s Tim Reinsch predicted in his Whiteboard interview: he said that there was no reason why Seedmatch wouldn’t offer bigger financing rounds in time. Of course, € 400k is not a € 4 million Series A, but who knows where this will end.

If anyone knows about other equity based crowdfunding platforms in Europe doing these kinds of rounds, let me know please?
