No more apps scrolling: insta-content via the homescreen of HTC One

20 Feb, 2013

Cool news from HTC and Deezer. One of the most irritating aspects of apps and smartphones is the scrolling through your apps, selecting one and then diving into the app. The HTC One phone skips that process, and makes partner content directly accessible from the home screen, as explained on the Deezer blog:

We’re proud to announce yet another important partnership for us as we continue to work to make the music you love accessible everywhere, on any device.

Our partners at HTC have launched their brand new smartphone – the new HTC One. As of today, we’re a global content partner for HTC’s Blinkfeed, part of the new HTC Sense experience. The great thing about the HTC One is that through a series of deep integrations, partner content is accessible straight to the home screen. So with Blinkfeed, you’ll be able to use your phone to get hold of the music you love from Deezer immediately, without going through an app.

Apart from Deezer, HTC also partnered with 1400 global content providers like AOL (Huffington Post, TechCrunch), Business Insider, Financial Times, Engadget, MTV, The Verge, and a range of other publications.
