Showpad, as cofounder Pieterjan Bouten explains, is a powerful sales- and marketing instrument for the iPad. It’s an online platform where companies can save all their marketing- and sales content, which get transformed into a touch-friendly iPad presentation. (Showpad is working on an Android and iPhone version).
Showpad already sold “a few thousand” licenses internationally, to clients like Audi, BASF and Heineken. The Jive deals means that Showpad will gain access to a roster of Fortune 500 companies.
The deal is worth “potentially millions of euros”, estimates cofounder Pieterjan Bouten. Jive Software is currently not available in Europe, and will concentrate on its home market for now, Bouten adds.
