Ghent based startup Showpad concludes a licensing deal with Jive Software

"Deal potentially worth millions," says cofounder Pieterjan Bouten

Some good news to start the day: Ghent-based startup Showpad announced today that it had concluded a deal to integrate its solution into the sales- and training app of Jive Software.

Showpad cofounder Pieterjan Bouten

Showpad, as cofounder Pieterjan Bouten explains, is a powerful sales- and marketing instrument for the iPad. It’s an online platform where companies can save all their marketing- and sales content, which get transformed into a touch-friendly iPad presentation. (Showpad is working on an Android and iPhone version).

Showpad already sold “a few thousand” licenses internationally, to clients like Audi, BASF and Heineken. The Jive deals means that Showpad will gain access to a roster of Fortune 500 companies.

The deal is worth “potentially millions of euros”, estimates cofounder Pieterjan Bouten. Jive Software is currently not available in Europe, and will concentrate on its home market for now, Bouten adds.
