Another corporate accelerator: ProSiebensat.1 is looking for founders

23 Jan, 2013

After a venture arm (SevenVentures), ProSiebenSat.1 is now starting a corporate accelerator. It says it’s looking for founders with ideas in e-commerce or entertainment.

ProSiebenSat will offer the startups office space for six months, mentoring by industry veterans and 25 000 in funding. And of course, plenty of industry networking and a demo day at the end.

In return, ProSiebenSat will take a 5 percent stake in equity proceeds or exit participation. (This is also one of the structures they use for SevenVentures).

Mikko Jarvenpaa, former HackFwd team member and author of a book on accelerators, predicted that corporate accelerators would pop up everywhere in the world in 2013. He seems right on track with his prediction.
